This new collection marks a leap forward and a true renewal for the brand Shelter, both in terms of design and technical expertise.
Wood, both raw and timeless, lies at the heart of the collection, but is combined and reinterpreted with new sophisticated materials such as steel.

The exclusive SMARTWOOD patent, developed by Shelter, brings a major technological innovation to the collection: a flexible wood with shape memory, offering exceptional lightness, real durability, and above all making it easy to fit the lenses.

RENCONTRE, the kind that has now become part of our DNA. The ones we imagine each year with a new artisan of beauty, architect, or designer, to create bridges between different creative worlds. In 2022, our encounter with interior architect Rodolphe Parente gave birth to the Mediterranea collection, and ode to Italian splendor, featuring seven graphic and elegant sunglasses frames.

In 2023, our encounter with designer Jean-Baptiste Fastrez unveiled the « Kostaldea » collection, an immersion into the heart of the Basque Country. More than just a journey, this collection is an invitation to discover the Basque Country from the inside, a deep dive into the local culture in 10 stages. 10 frames, created by Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, tell the secrets and splendor of his beloved region, drawing inspiration from the surrounding nature, the strength and cultural subtleties, the power of the elements, and the local art of living.

These encounters are bridges between creative worlds, celebrating beauty in all its forms.

With Acélia, we chose to give a second life to our acetate offcuts, sourced from our own production.

This collection marks a new step in our circular approach: combined frames, where a metal structure meets a rim of recycled acetate – melted, reshaped, and refined directly in our workshop.

The result: lightweight, structured, responsible eyewear that fully embodies our vision of committed design.
Each Acélia frame carries the idea that nothing is lost, everything is transformed — especially when crafted with care, intention, and high standards.
